Best cherry blossom viewing point in Toyama

Along the Matsu River, which runs throughout the center of Toyama City, there is a cherry tree promenade lined with nearly 580 cherry trees. The best viewing time is from late March to early April. The promenade was selected as one of Japan’s top 100 sites to view cherry blossoms in 1990. During the viewing season, sightseeing boats cruise up and down the Matsu River.
